Many thanks to those of you that supported the Christmas Fair last Saturday and to those of you who donated items or ran stalls; we raised a marvellous £705 – we are hoping to start decorating the learning zone at the beginning of the New Year, as soon as that is completed we will have the new carpet laid and then the new library furniture will be installed, hopefully by February. Thank you also to those of you that have purchased your children’s artwork, this has raised £166.50 which will be going towards books to support the children with the new curriculum.
If anyone has got either a plain purple, green, red, gold or white tablecloth that they would be willing to donate to the school, please can you let me know as we are trying to improve our reflection area in the hall and would like to cover the table with the appropriate liturgical colour to match the church year.
This week Years R and 6 had their height and weights measured – the nurses commented on how well behaved the children were. On Wednesday and Thursday I met with Class Teachers and Mrs Stanford/Mrs Paskhin to discuss children’s progress and how we can further support those that may have ‘dipped’ a little to ensure that all children reach their full potential by the end of the year.
I am delighted to announce that, following interviews on Thursday, Mrs Hamilton is now our School Family Liaison Officer – her role will be to liaise between parents and school and to be a point of contact should you have any concerns, issues or worries that you may wish to discuss. She can be contacted either via the main school office, at the school gate or via email on email@example.com
After school and for the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas, there will be a WW1 display in the entrance hall of Tenterden Town Hall. If you are able to pop along you will see some of the work that your children have done towards this very important topic.
Wishing you all a relaxing weekend.
