Dear Parents/Carers,

A very Happy New Year to you all!  I hope that you all had an enjoyable Christmas and a big thank you for all our wonderful cards and presents.

2017 is off to a flying start with Year 2 having drama lessons this term, which will culminate in a performance for parents/carers to attend – date to be confirmed. Gymnastics for Year 1 will be starting next Monday and dance for Years 3 and 4 on Thursdays; please ensure that children have their PE kits in school.  Other competitive events are being organised.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Well, the clocks may have gone back but the weather is still wonderfully mild.

Last month we had our multi-cultural week which was an extremely informative event; adults and children alike learnt so much about the wonderful variety of cultures that we have here at St Michael’s.  A huge thank you to parents/carers who sent things in or gave up their time to come into school and talk to the children about their culture – the variety of food was amazing and extremely tasty!

Dear Parents/Carers,

I can’t believe how quickly the weeks are flying by and, although the nights are drawing in, at least we’re still having some beautiful weather.

Today we had the blessing and dedication of the school garden by Bishop Trevor, following the vandalism that occurred during the summer holidays.  People that have helped to restore the garden to its former glory were all invited to attend and it was wonderful to see so many parents/carers joining in.

September 2016

Dear Parents/Carers,

A huge welcome to our new children in Reception and to the other new children that have joined us and welcome back to all our existing pupils.  We were blessed with amazing weather throughout the holidays which I’m sure has helped energise the children so that they are ready for another exciting year at St Michael’s.

We also welcome two new members of staff to our team;  Mrs Richards is supporting Miss Ball in Year 2 and Mrs Sharpe will be supporting Miss Bransby in Year R.
